Day 00: Delhi - Nainital (Overnight train) Overnight Journey to Nainital. Nainital: Nainital is a glittering jewel in the Himalyan necklace, blessed with scenic natural splendour and varied natural resources. Dotted with lakes, Nainital has earned the epithet of 'Lake District' of India. The most prominent of the lakes is 'Naini' lake ringed by hills. It is believed that Naini Lake is one of the 64 Shakti Peeths, or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati (Parvati) fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. The spot where Sati's eyes (or Nain) fell, came to be called Nain-tal or [lake of the eye.] The goddess Shakti is worshipped at the Naina Devi Temple on the north shore of the present day lake.   Day 01: Nainital Early morning meet on arrival at Kathgodam Railway station and drive to Nainital. Arrive Nainital check in to the hotel. After breakfast whole day local sightseeing including Snow View, Dorothy Seat, Himalaya Darshan and Naina Devi Temple. Evening free for visiting Mall road and local market and you can also enjoy boating at Naini Lake. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. Day 02: Nainital (Lake Tour) - Delhi (Overnight train) Early morning after breakfast whole day is reserve for lake tour around Nainital including Bhimtal, Sattal and Naukuchiatal. In the evening time to see the glorious view of sunset from Hanumangarh. Later transfer to kathgodam Railway station for Delhi.

Agra Weekend Tour

Day 01: Delhi - Agra (205 kms/4hrs) Morning drive to Agra. On arrival check in to the hotel. whole day sight seeing tour of Agra including Agra Fort, Itmad - Ud Daula's Tomb, Fatehpur Sikri. In the evening return back to the hotel. Overnight in the hotel. Fatehpur Sikri: Fatehpur Sikri, 38 km from Agra, was one of the capital cities of Akbar after the childless Mughal was blessed with a son with the blessings of the Sufi saint, Sheikh Salim Chisti, who lived here. The new capital came up in 1569. Through the Juxtaposition of the buildings seems whimsical, they are thoughtfully planned, imparting an atmosphere of playful brilliance. Towering, walls on three sides surround the rectangular-shaped city, accessible through nine gates, and an artificial lake is located on the west. Credit for preserving the monuments goes to Lord Curzon. These protected monuments and the city's environs are well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. Agra: Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the "TAJ MAHAL". The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire, of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. While its significance as a political center ended with the transfer of the capital to Delhi in 1634 by Shah Jahan, its architectural wealth has secured its place on the international map. A pleasant town with a comparatively slow pace, Agra is know for its superb inlay work on the marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendants of those who worked under the Mughals. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.  Day 02: Agra - Delhi Morning visit Taj Mahal at Sunrise. Return back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast free for shopping around the local market. Later drive back to Delhi.

Rishikesh is also the Gateway to the Himalayas. The Char Dham Yatra (Four Shrines Sacred Journey) ideally begins from Rishikesh.
